Terms of Service

The service

Proveit is a B2B tool for hiring companies. It generates skill assessments and produces authenticity and skill analyses to support the hiring process.

Responsible use

Hiring companies are solely responsible for how they use assessment results, including all hiring decisions. Proveit provides decision-support information, not hiring decisions.

AI assistance, not AI decisions

Proveit's scores and recommendations are generated with AI and are intended to support human judgment, not replace it. They should always be reviewed by a person before any decision is made.

No guarantee of outcomes

Proveit makes no guarantee of any particular hiring outcome, candidate performance, or result. The service is provided on an "as is" basis.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Proveit until the end of your current billing period. Contact us within 7 days of renewal at info@getproveit.io if you have concerns about your billing. To cancel, visit your billing settings or contact info@getproveit.io. Verid reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if the Controller breaches these terms, uses the platform for unlawful purposes, or engages in conduct that could harm Verid or third parties.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verid's total liability to the Controller for any claims arising under or in connection with this agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Controller in the three months preceding the claim. Verid shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

Indemnification

The Controller agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Verid and its founder from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) the Controller's use of Proveit assessment results in hiring decisions; (b) any claim by a candidate relating to the Controller's hiring process; (c) the Controller's breach of this agreement or applicable law.

Intellectual property

All rights, title and interest in and to the Proveit platform, including its methodology, scoring algorithms, system prompts, analysis logic and proprietary behavioural assessment framework, are and shall remain the exclusive property of Verid. No licence to Verid's intellectual property is granted except the limited right to use the platform as described in these terms. The Controller may not reverse engineer, copy or attempt to replicate Proveit's methodology.

Force majeure

Verid shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, internet outages, third-party service failures (including AI API providers), or government action.

Assessment limitations

Proveit's scores and recommendations are generated using AI and are intended solely as decision-support tools. They are not infallible and may occasionally produce inaccurate results. The Controller is solely responsible for all hiring decisions and must not rely solely on Proveit scores. All assessment results must be reviewed by a human before any hiring decision is made. Verid accepts no liability for hiring decisions made on the basis of Proveit assessments.

Equal opportunity

The Controller is solely responsible for ensuring their use of Proveit complies with all applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws. Verid does not guarantee that assessments are free from bias and recommends that Controllers monitor assessment results across protected groups. Proveit assessments should be one of multiple factors considered in hiring decisions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
